The movie is about the real life rescue of 33 miners in 2010 after a cave-in at the San José copper–gold mine in Chile. The miners were trapped underground for 2 months before their miraculous rescue. Naomi stars as Escarlette Sepúlveda Valdivia – the daughter of one of these miners.
